Applications

  • Steel production: FeMnLC is used as an alloying element to improve steel’s strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
  • Stainless steel production: FeMnLC is used to produce stainless steel with high manganese content.
  • Welding and brazing: FeMnLC is used as a filler metal in welding and brazing processes.

Benefits

  • Low carbon content reduces carbide precipitation, improving corrosion resistance
  • High manganese content provides excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance
  • Good high-temperature properties
  • Essential for producing stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant alloys
